It depends on the yard, the route and what is already committed, but same-day is the normal expectation within a yard's radius. The first call establishes what is actually needed, which sometimes turns out to be a smaller and faster unit than the caller assumed.
Anything where the cost of waiting is high: a failed piece of process equipment, a vehicle recovery blocking a facility, storm damage, or a breakdown holding up a whole crew. We do not require it to be dramatic to treat it as urgent.
After-hours and call-out rates apply outside normal working hours, and they are quoted before we mobilise. You will know the basis of the charge on the call, not afterwards.
After, yes, and it is a significant part of what the Gulf South yards do. During a named storm nobody is lifting; wind limits decide that. We stage equipment ahead of forecast weather so response can start as soon as it is safe.
